Job Title: Aircraft Component Shop Technician

Wage: $30/hour

Full-time, permanent, non-seasonal

Aeropol Aviation Services Corporation (Aeropol) specializing in repair/overhaul of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical aircraft components, and landing gear overhaul has been a Canadian owned and Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) since 1999 year. We are looking for experienced aviation mechanical component shop technicians to join our team!

You will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshoot aircraft components when required
  • Disassembling, assembling and testing aircraft components.
  • Review component specifications and written technical instructions/ manuals
  • Conduct component pretest and inspection to determine the cause of component malfunction/failure to operate properly
  • Create part list for spares needed to be replaced in order to repair/overhaul a component
  • Ensure fits and clearances are acceptable.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for components, including tagging, Evaluation Strip Report,
  • Process Work Order, Material Shop Order, Test Report, etc.
  • Disassemble/Assemble landing gear components in strict compliance with the CMM

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good written and spoken English
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with repair components within Aeropol repair capabilities
  • Ability to read and understand component maintenance manuals (CMMs)
  • Ability to fill out work order documents

Job Description

As an Aircraft Component Technician, you will perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly and testing of components. In this role you will utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Requirements include carrying out all maintenance tasks in accordance to Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), service bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD) specifications. As part of this role you will be responsible for recording all tasks pertaining to work orders and caring out all procedures to meet quality control requirements.

Desired Skills
2-5 years relevant experience

Strong assembly, tear down, inspection and test equipment experience

Ability to follow and interpret technical drawings and instructions

Ability to function as part of a high performance team

Ability to read, write and speak in English
